A short walk from the front of the bungalow is the
sea front. The village of Bacton is protected from the sea by a
sea wall which runs eastwards all the way to Walcott. The sandy
beach is accessed down a flight of permanent steps.
During the summer months the beach is segregated into two areas.
Dogs can be walked along the beach from the steps eastwards towards
walcott but are not allowed on the west section of beach from the
steps to the far side of the village.
The beach changes from week to week and these changes often result
in pools being left behind when the tide goes out. The pools are
great for children to play in, paddling, swimming, shrimping or
building dams to prevent the water leaking out back into the sea.
The bungalow is equipped with buckets spades etc. which can be used
to make sand castles or if you are really artistic even sand sculptures. |
